Swakopmund is Namibia's second biggest town and the seaside resort accommodation of the country. The quaint town is situated at the mouth of the Swakop, between the Atlantic Ocean and the world's most ancient desert - the Namib.

Much of the distinct German colonial character has been preserved and today, many of the town's old buildings, house shops, offices and other utility services.
