Outpost lodge location, directions and how to get there:

From Johannesburg through the Maria gate, self-drive visitors follow the N1 to Pretoria, Polokwane, at Makhado take the R524 to the Punda Maria gate. At the gate obtain a map of the parks' internal roads for a short drive through the northern region toward the Parfuri gate. 

From Joburg through the Parfuri gate, self-drive visitors to the Outpost lodge follow the N1 north towards Messina (Musina). Just after you have gone through the Baobab Toll gate, find the R525 turn-off to Tshipise and Pafuri to your right and eventually pass Tshipise on your right. Further along the R525 pass through the Masisi boom (this access boom is approximately 111km from the R525 turn-off from the N1). Approximately 23km further, still on the R525 enter through the Parfuri gate to the Makuya park. Travel a further 6.6km until the sign for the Outpost lodge. Turn right at the sign and follow the 4km dirt road to the camp, view Parfuri gate map as below.
