Mvuu wilderness lodge, meaning hippo, is situated directly on the banks of the Shire River lagoon in Liwonde national park in Malawi's premier wildlife reserve. Mvuu wilderness lodge ensuring prime and discreet wildlife viewing. Guest will be far from normal inconvenience and the Shitre river provides a superb game watching cruise. Reserve your holiday in Malawi all year around, accept the rainy season is traditionally in January.
Accommodation, the lodge accommodate 16 guests, groups stay Mvuu camp close to Mvuu wilderness lodge. There are 8 tents, consisting of, four twin bedded tents and one honeymoon tent with a bath.

- Private veranda overlooking secluded lagoon - En-suite facilities with a shower
- Tents are mosquito-proofed
- Soaps, shampoos and insect repellents are supplied in each room
Facilities and activities include, dining room and pub under thatch, natural rock swimming pool, game drives in 1 x 10-seater safari vehicle, night safari drives, boating in 1 x 10-seater safari boat, walking safaris with experienced guides and rangers, river safaris and Malawian Village cultural visits.
A highlight is the superb river cruises where Mvuu wilderness lodge guests may get close to Hippos, Crocodiles and wonderful bird-life. There is a Black Rhino re-introduction programme and it is possible (with special permission) to visit the Rhino sanctuary in the park.
