We can pre-book every Vic Falls activity offered at cheaper rates in this area with the added benefit of specially negotiated rates and confirmed availability before clients depart, thus avoiding disappointment on arrival. Although some activities are based on either the Zimbabwean or Zambian side of the Falls, most can be enjoyed regardless of which side clients are staying.
Meet & Greet Airport Transfers
Our representative meets all guests arriving in Victoria Falls / Livingstone with a branded meet and greet board and transfers are conducted in our operator's branded vehicle. The driver guide will update guests on the happenings in and around Victoria Falls and will gladly assist with any additional activities required.
Guided Tours of the Falls
Both Zambia's and Zimbabwe's view of Victoria Falls is magnificent. Guests can decide which side they would like to view the Falls from and guided tours are offered on both. The Victoria Falls is classed as one of the Natural Wonders of the World. From January to June, the Zambian side benefits significantly from the increased water flow over the Falls making it a spectacular viewing point. The viewing walk is longer on the Zimbabwean side, although many profess the views are better on the Zambian side.
Traditional Dancing
Victoria activities for kids and adults offers evening shows of traditional dancing – an excellent insight into African life. Three tribes tell stories through dance and song detailing important aspects about their culture. The coming of manhood, preparing for battle, the dangers of animals of the bush, spirit encounters and courting a young woman are all stories that enthrall visitors. The haunting call of the Kudu horn, the rhythmic power of the drums, the costumes and masks, the pounding feet shaking the earth and traditional stories all make for an unforgettable evening.
Zambezi Horseback Safaris
One of the finest ways to experience the bush is on horseback. There is a chance to see small game such as bush-buck or duiker, plus hippos and crocodiles along the river, and in the dry season elephants. There is also a wide variety of bird life. All rides are led by experienced riders/guides and all riding abilities are catered for. Guests are taken out on either experienced or novice rides so that everyone in the group is of a similar experience. Tours range from 1.5 hours to full day tours.
Game Drives and Walking Safaris
Guided game drives in open safari vehicles are operated in the mornings and late afternoons. As well as numerous bird species, game that may be seen includes elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck and other antelope. Specialised Rhino Safaris are available in the Musi-oa-Tunya National Park. Travelling on foot is the best way to experience the African bush and the walking safaris in the Zambezi National Park are accompanied by a professional guide who is able to explain the bush ecosystem including spoor tracking and the surrounding fauna and flora.
Full Day Chobe Excursions
The Chobe National Park in Botswana is easily accessible from Victoria Falls and Livingstone. Victoria activities safari begins with a cruise on the Chobe River and is followed by an afternoon game drive. The Big Five, abundant general game and prolific bird-life make this full day excursion worthwhile.
River Cruises
The perfect way to end your Victoria activities day in Victoria Falls/Livingstone is a sunset cruise. Enjoy a champagne breakfast or sumptuous buffet lunch to the sounds of birds and animals, as you gently drift along the beautiful Zambezi River. The mighty Zambezi's tranquil waters above the Falls are home to hippo, crocodile, magnificent birds and other wildlife. The splendours of the African sunset are renowned and this is an unrivalled way to savour the beauty of the moment.
Angling & Fly Fishing
Rated by many anglers as the finest sporting and fighting fish in the world, the Tiger Fish is found in the waters of the upper Zambezi above the Victoria Falls. The best time for Tiger is from August to March. The river is also home to 75 species of fish including 15 different species of bream. Angling consists of fly-fishing, spinning and bait-fishing. Fishing excursions are led by experienced fishing guides with excellent knowledge on bird and wildlife and the boats, with 50hp outboard motors, can navigate the gentle rapids and very shallow water. Full and half day excursions are available.
Quad Biking
Discover the spectacular landscape surrounding Livingstone and the Batoka Gorge on all-terrain quad bikes. These ultimate Victoria activities vehicles allow both the novice or experienced rider to explore the area at their own pace. Take in the panoramic views and wildlife under the supervision of a qualified guide.
Croc Farm
Visit the Zambezi Nature Sanctuary and Crocodile Farm where visitors can view these ancient reptiles through their various life stages. A highlight is witnessing feeding time a real Victoria activities for kids. Walk through the beautiful tropical garden alive with birds and butterflies.
Canoe Safaris
The Victoria activities canoe trails operate above Victoria Falls and are the perfect activity for those who want to experience the tranquility of the Zambezi River as they paddle downstream with the current in inflatable two-man canoes. The Canoe Trail passes through the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, where clients have a good opportunity of viewing the endangered White Rhino, the only concentration on the Zambezi River. There are at least 50 common species of bird that can be seen from your craft.
Clients are collected from the Activity Centre between 0700 and 0730. Tea, coffee and bacon & egg rolls are served at check in, followed by a safety talk by a professional river guide before the day's canoeing. The trails begin approximately 25km upstream from the Victoria Falls and during the day about 18km is spent canoeing with a stop at an island for lunch.
Lunch is served on an island or on the banks of the Zambezi River. The morning is spent running rapids and exploring the channels. The trip ends with a drive through the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park with refreshments. Videos and photographs will be provided on request for group bookings only and will be shown the same evening.
Scenic Flights over the Falls
Discover the majesty of the Victoria Falls aboard a helicopter, an adventure you will never forget. The scenic beauty is dramatic as the helicopter dips and soars, bringing earth rushing to the fore and alternatively the sky to your fingertips.
Another option is the Helicopter / Jet Boat Combo. The flight takes you over the Victoria Falls and down through the gorge to the helipad situated at Rapid 25 of the powerful Zambezi River. The jet boat then takes you for an exhilarating ride through the swirling rapids, before you fly back out of the gorge - this is the ultimate Zambezi combo.
United Air Charter offers a comprehensive aviation experience for visitors. The company is situated in the town of Livingstone and operates from a well-established aerodrome, only 2 km upstream from the Victoria Falls and approximately 5 km from the Resort. United Air Charter has been operating in Zambia since 2001.
The helicopter is designed so all passengers have a good view and can accommodate a minimum of 4 passengers. Trips normally last 15 minutes.
Elephant Back Safaris
Within the gazetted bounds of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, on the banks of the Zambezi, Elephant back safari's are operated by Safari Par Excellence. The park is resident to wild elephant, hippo, buffalo, impala, giraffe, zebra and small cats such as civet and servile. Guests are able to ride up high with their guides through the beautiful riverside scenery. This is a novel experience and gives adventurers a chance to interact on a personal level with these giant yet gentle creatures. Elephants are intelligent and willing animals and take instruction easily. The ride itself is approximately one hour, the interaction time spent with the elephants amounts to approximately three hours.
Jet Boat Extreme
Jet-propelled boats taking a maximum of 11 passengers are available in the spectacular Batoka Gorge below the Victoria Falls. Hurtle along at over 80 km/h towards a series of spine chilling rapids and buzzing rocks during this half hour adventure. New Zealand trained jet boat pilots have a minimum of 500 hours experience and boats are equipped with first aid kits and radio communications. Morning and afternoon excursions are offered.
Tandem Kayaking
Another way to navigate the rapids is aboard a tandem kayak. Clients are taken down the rapids in Topolino Duos - the only two-man white water kayak available. Paddles, life-jackets and helmets are issued before the day's kayaking. Wetsuits or spray jackets will be used in the colder months. An experienced white water kayaker who will steer the kayak through rapids pilots each kayak and Eskimo roll if necessary. A safety raft accompanies the trip and carries water and juice. At the top of the gorge soft drinks and beer are available.
White Water Rafting
This is the wildest white water on the planet and the actual experience surpasses this analogy.
White Water Rafting on the Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls has been classified by the British Canoe Union as Grade 5 - "extremely difficult, long and violent rapids, steep gradients, big drops and pressure areas".
The Zambezi River is classified as a high volume; pool-drop river as there is little exposed rock either in the rapid or the pools below the rapids. The distance between rapids varies from 100 metres to 2 kilometres. The Gorge itself is approximately 300 ft deep at the start point and 750 ft at the finish point. The river drops about 400 feet over 24 kilometres. Guests can choose from a variety of action water activities.
Guests meet at Squires Restaurant adjacent to the casino in the Resort grounds. During check-in a light breakfast with tea and coffee is served. The trip leader gives a detailed safety briefing; life jackets and safety helmets are issued before the day's rafting. The latest and most up-to-date safety equipment is used to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. During the day a light lunch is served on the river, drinks at the top of the gorge after the walk out and on the drive back to the hotel. The day's rafting is filmed and photographed by a cameraman and the video and stills are shown in the evening at the hotel.
High Wire Activities
The ultimate in adrenaline clients can experience the high wire activities as many times as they wish on either a full or half day activity. Abseil down the gorge, facing the slope backwards, forwards or doing 360° twists. The Gorge Swing presents clients with the opportunity to throw themselves off the edge in a body harness and free fall into the gorge before numerous pendulum swings. The Flying Fox is a cable slide high above the gorge where clients are either seated or flying face down and then manually pulled back to the side. Victoria Falls offers the longest Foofie Slide in the world. Imagine the adrenaline rush travelling at a speed of 106 km, hurtling 425m across the gorge, while suspended 120m above the breathtaking beauty of the Zambezi waters below.
Vic Falls bridge - Bungee Jumping

Over 50 000 people have committed themselves to the thrill of jumping off this bridge, one of the highest challenges in the world. Defy the limits of the mind and test the edge of fear by leaping off this impressive bridge, with the Falls behind and the mighty Zambezi rushing up to meet you. Ankle and body harnesses are attached separately to clients, after jumping they are winched back onto the bridge. Photographs and video, taken of each jumper, are available for purchase. You can jump solo or in tandem the choice is yours.
