20-day adventure overland tour exploreing from Panorama route through South Africa to Cape Town make use of guest houses & chalet at budget accommodations. This Southern Africa overland explore trip covers most of tourist attractions highlights in the country, including Kruger Park, KwaZulu Natal, Drakensberg, St Lucia, Garden Route, Cape Town, Lesotho & Swaziland.

The adventuress overland group depart Johannesburg and drive through Panorama Route by exploring dramatic contrast on pictureque mountains, leaving behind Johannesburg, the city of gold, the Panorama Route tourist travel through the province of Mpumalanga and some breathtaking vistas of the Lowveld. Blyde River Canyon, God's Window and Bourke's Luck Potholes will be some of today's highlights. Visitors will spend the evening camping just outside of Kruger National park. (L,D)

Day 2 , 3:

Kruger National Park, the group get up early and visit a wildlife rehabilitation centre for an educational experience before the visitors enter Kruger park. The next two days are spent exploring the southern part of this vast reserve and guest stand a good chance of sighting elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo - Africa's famed big five animals. An optional night drive with one of South African National Park (SANP) rangers is an excellent way to see some of the nocturnal animals and this activity can be booked through the SANP office. Day 4 , 5

Experience Mlilwane wildlife sanctuary in Swaziland, today the Panorama Route visitors leave the Kruger and cross the border to Swaziland. There is an opportunity during our visit to Swaziland for curio shopping as the tour group stop off to browse through the markets. The next two nights are inside the Mlilwane wildlife sanctuary. Optional activities: mountain biking, hiking, horse riding and game viewing.

Day 6:

The adventure group visits St Lucia, world heritage park, leaving Swaziland the adventure group travels through the subtropical region towards the Indian ocean. The group spend the afternoon exploring the St Lucia World Heritage Park and enjoying the unique sights. (B,L,D)

Optional activities, lagoon cruise.

Day 7:

Visit a traditional Zulu cultural village in Durban , leaving wonderful St Lucia behind the group journey to a Traditional African Zulu village to experience some traditional Zulu culture. The group then drive to Durban where we will spend the night in this vibrant city, home to the largest Indian population outside of India and where Ghandi spent much of his youth. It is possible to go out this evening to try one of Durban's famous curry restaurants or some of the local clubs and bars. (B,L)

Day 8 , 9

This aventure tours visit the Drakensberg, the travel guest leave Durban and Kwa-Zulu Natal coast and travel to the Royal Natal National Park to see our first glimpse of the mighty Drakensberg escarpment. The next day is spent at leisure. The adventure seekers can choose any of the local activities such as horse riding or relax in the spectacular surroundings. (B,L,D)

Day 10 , 11

Today the group will be exploring Lesotho, after a full day's drive the group arrive in the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho with its breathtaking scenery. When border formalities are completed the adventure travel group climb into the mountains to their rustic overnight spot. The next day visitors get up early and those going on the Pony Trek will ride into the remote hills of Lesotho accompanied by local guides. If guest choose to remain behind the group can just relax or visit the local village, school or craft market. (B,L,D)

Day 12 , 13

The overland getaway adventure visit Coffee Bay as a backpackers group when they exit Lesotho and head to Coffee Bay beaches. Arrive at this beautiful beach destination where the group will spend the next two nights. The following day visitors have a full day to relax on the east coast beach or go on a hike to the famous 'hole in the wall'.

Optional adventure excursions: Xhosa village visit

Day 14

Day visit at Addo Elephant National Park, the group spend time in Addo surrounded by Elephants! These magnificent creatures are always a highlight and the reserve provides visitors with many fantastic photographic opportunities. (B,L,D)

Day 15 , 16

The adventurist Tsitsikamma National Park, after an early morning game drive the group say goodbye to the elephants and drive further along the sunshine coast until the adventures visitors reach Tsitsikamma NP. This beautiful coastal park provides the overland group with some amazing hikes, including the first section of the well-known otter trail. (B,L,D)

Optional activities: bungee jumping (highest in the world), tubing, treetop tour

Day 17

The group visit the breathtaking Knysna lagoon, it is a short distance to Knysna, one of South Africa's best-known resort towns. There are many activities on offer here as well as the chance to explore this interesting and artistic town. Go fishing on Knysna lagoon, shopping in the town or abseil off Knysna Heads - the choice is yours. (B,L,D)

Day 18

The overland grour visit the Karoo town Oudtshoorn, today the adventure seekers travel on through to the Outeniqua mountains as we head for Oudtshoorn. After arriving visitors undertake a tour of the world-renowned Cango caves. Later in the day visiting an Ostrich Farm where guest can have some fun taking a ride on an ostrich, the largest bird in the world. (B,L,D)

Day 19

Adventure trip through Stellenbosch , after breakfast the adventure tour group set off for Stellenbosch - the most well known wine-growing and wine tasting region in South Africa. As this is the last night on tour visitors will go out to a local restaurant for dinner. In whale season (between June, July, August, September, November) the trip divert through Hermanus can experience whales playing in the popular whale watching town harbour and coast. (B,L,D)

Optional Activity: Meal Out

Day 20

Explore the mother city Cape Town , after a leisurely breakfast, the adventure group set off for some wine tasting before reaching in Cape Town. The adventure guest group journey ends on arrival in central Cape Town. (B)
