Travel & Tourism Information:
The park is part of the larger salt flats with Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, situated in North-Eastern Botswana, Nxai Pan National Park in full size is 2,578 square kilometre big. From the airport town Maun, self-drive tourist with 4x4 vehicles have to use the deep sandy tracks to the Nxai Pan entrance gate. Keep in mind that there are no supplies of fuel available in the reserve, while the closest suppliers will be at the village of Gweta.

Accommodation: Within Nxai Pan National Park has two small public camping grounds with ablution facilities, visitors will find one on the southern edge while the other one is in the northern region within the mopane woodland. Other places to stay and overnight will be the informal camping area at Baines Baobabs with no facilities, guest will find the nearest water supply is at the Game Scout Camp.

Wildlife & Animals: Species to be find in Nxai Pan National Park include, lions, giraffes, kudu's, impalas, ostriches springboks, jackals, bat-eared foxes, numerous smaller creatures and a fascinating bird-life. Once the rains have started, gemsbok, elephants and zebra migrate to the region. These wild animals enhance excellent safaris and game-viewing excursions.
