Day 1 Johannesburg Join us for a welcome meeting at 6pm on Day 1. No activities planned for this day. If your flight arrives too late on this day, we recommend that you consider arriving a day early and stay an night prior to the trip to be able to attend the meeting. We'll be collecting your kitty, insurance details and next of kin information at this meeting. Please ensure you this on hand. Optional Activities: Apartheid Museum, Gold Reef City and Heritage mine tour, Museum Africa or Art Gallery Accommodation - Holiday Inn Sandton or similar

Day 2 Khama Rhino Sanctuary Today we cross the border into Botswana and travel to Khama Rhino Sanctuary (approx 8-10 hrs).Located on the edge of the expansive Kalahari Desert, the Khama Rhino Sanctuary is a conservation project built to protect Botswana's only remaining populations of black and white rhinos, as well as other wildlife which have all moved in. This project benefits local communities and contributes to the protection of endangered white rhinoceros.We head out on a dusk game drive to find rhinos before returning to camp. Day 3 Maun We continue on to Maun (approx 7-8 hrs), the gateway to one of the world renown Okavango Delta, formed by the Okavango River which flows from the highlands of Angola to the Kalahari Desert. The river spreads out into thousands of small streams to form a unique and unspoilt wilderness. Filled with a diversity of flora and fauna including hippos, crocodiles, elephants and the big cats the delta one of the world's most fascinating ecosystems. We set up camp on the outskirts of town with shared facilities. Accommodation - Sedia Hotel Campground or similar

Day 4 Okavango Delta We cross the waterways by mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe, navigated by a local 'poler'. A great oppertunity to spot wildlife and prolific birdlife. Explor the maze of lagoons, lakes and streams on foot, led by knowledgeable guides. Camp is set up on a remote island in the heart of this untamed wilderness. Without toilet facilities, a bush toilet is dug out and showers are not present, all part of the Okavango experience. Listen to the sounds of the bush at night under the African night sky - a true wilderness experience! Included Activities - Mokoro trips & bushwalks Accommodation - Bush Camping (without facilities)

Day 5 Okavango Delta After an early wake we venture out on a sunrise walk for a chance to catch a glimpse of some elephants and Cape buffalo. Return to camp for breakfast afterwards and take the rest of the day to relax. Take a swim or test your poling skills before the next afternoon walk or mokoro trip - the choice is yours. Included Activities - Mokoro trips & bushwalks Accommodation - Bush Camping (without facilities)

Day 6 Maun Travel back to Maun by mokoro and road transfer (approx 2-3 hrs). Today we visit a local rural villag in the Okavango Delta and camp on the outskirts of town with shared facilities. Included Activities - Local village visit Accommodation - Sedia Hotel Campground or similar

Day 7 Nata We hit the road and continure on to Nata. (approx 8-9 hours). Nata is a small town close to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans - some of the largest salt flats in the world. You have the opportunity to explore the pans in open vehicles.

The pans are surrounded by the Kalahari Desert and naturally dry and salty for a large part of the year. During the rainy period it become a refuge for migratory birds and animals. We camp on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans Facilities include a Restaurant, Swimming pool, Gift Shop and Bar/lounge area. Accommodation - Nata Lodge Camping or similar

Day 8 Chobe National Park Continue on to Chobe National Park (approx 8-9 hrs).

The first national park in Botswana, Chobe, is best known for its high population of elephants, often seen swimming in the Chobe River. The river attracts hippos, a variety of birdlife, crocodiles, cheetahs and lions.

Enjoy a sunset cruise on the Chobe River. Accommodation - Thebe River Camp or similar

Days 9-10 Victoria Falls We reach the Victoria Falls (approx 2-3 hours), crossing the border into Zimbabwe in time for lunch on the banks of the Zambezi. Visit the expansive Victoria Falls.The Victoria Falls is an gigantic waterfall, about a mile wide, holding the record for the world's largest sheet of falling water. The spray from the falls can often be seen from miles away. It's local name, Mosi oa Tunya, means the 'smoke that thunders'. In the dry season, the view is unobstructed by spray.The final day is at your own leisure. There are various activities and excursions available - white water rafting, canoeing, horse riding, abseiling or gorge swinging, among others.Included Activities - Visit Victoria Falls Optional Activities - Canoe trail, Flying fox, Gorge swing, Helicopter flight, Helicopter flight (25 mins) Accommodation - Victoria Falls Rest Camp or similar
