PRETORIA – CAPE TOWN
DAY 1
11h00 - Depart from Rovos Rail Train Station, Pretoria.
13h00 - Lunch is served in the dining cars. Travel the broad grassland plains of the Highveld.
16h30 - Tea in the lounge and observation cars.
19H30 - Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Klerksdorp. Overnight on board.
DAY 2
07h00 - Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 10:00
12h30 - Lunch is served and after which passengers depart on an excursion to the Big Hole and the Diamond Mine Museum.
19h30 - Dinner is served in the dining cars.
DAY 3
07h00 - The train travels through the Karoo, a vast semi-desert region that
was once an enormous inland sea.
13h00 - After lunch, there is a chance for guests to disembark the train at Whitehill Siding and walk the 5km into Matjiesfontein. A member of staff will accompany the group. Disembark at Matjiesfontein for an opportunity to stroll through the historic village.
16h30 - Tea in the lounge and observation cars. About an hour after Matjiesfontein, the train arrives at the first of four tunnels on the pass.
19h30 - Dinner is served as the train climbs ±750m down the escarpment towards Worcester.
DAY 4
07h00 - Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 09:30. The train travels through the Hex River Valley.
10h00 - Arrive at the journey’s end at Cape Town station.

DAY 1
16h00 - Depart Platform 23 at Cape Town Station and proceed to Worcester.
16h30 - Tea in the lounge and observation cars.
19h30 - Dinner is served in the dining cars. The train climbs ±750m up the face of the escarpment.
DAY 2
07h00 - Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 10:00
08h00 - Disembark at Matjiesfontein for an opportunity to stroll through the historic village.

13h00 - Lunch is served in the dining cars
16h30 - Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

19h30 - Dinner is served in the dining cars.

07h00 - Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 09:30.
10h00 - Disembark at Meyerton Station (±100km south of Rovos Rail Station). An optional complimentary transfer (±90min)
from Meyerton Station to Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria is available.
