Out Photo-Walk Tours in Cape Town include the services of a professional and accredited photographer who will show you the in's and out's of becoming a great photographer and what better place to learn than in the beautiful city of Cape Town!

If you are already experienced and don't need the guiding, let us take you to the best view points and dramatic landscape spots of the local area with an experienced guide who knows where the most ideal perspectives are.

PLEASE NOTE A minimum of 4 clients required to provide a fully guided tour. Tour departs from set locations. An additional supplement applies for hotel collection/return. If you only 3 or less clients booked, the tour will be self drive and the guide will meet you at the starting point and lead you through the tour Camera and tripod excluded.

Fabulous False Bay (Mondays)

Start - Kalkies Takeaways, parking lot of Kalk Bay Harbour

06h00: Meet at Kalkies Fish Shop in the car park of Kalk Bay Harbour. Photograph the sunrise.

07h30: Travel to Muizenberg Beach to catch the early morning surfers.

09h00: Breakfast in St James.

10h00: Photograph the landmark coloured huts in St James Beach.

10h30: Head to Simonstown an meander through the streets while photographing the quaint architecture.

11h30: Boulders beach to photograph the Jack Ass Penguins

12h30: Cape Point. The professional photographer will teach you how to capture the view of this magnificent landmark in full day sun. He/she will depart at 13h00. You are welcome to go into the Cape Point Nature Reserve itself, visit the lighthouse and relax through a lunch at Two Oceans Restaurant.

Finish - Cape Point

Cape Winelands (Wednesdays)

Start - Car park of Mooiberg Strawberry Farm on the R44

10h00: Meet at Mooiberg Strawberry Farm to photograph the fabulous scarecrows.

11h30: Head to Van Ryn's Brandy Distillery to capture the beautifully preserved historic complex on the banks of the Eerste River.

12h30: On to Spier Wine Farm for lunch at Moyo and landscape photography.

14h30: Off to Lanserac Wine Farm for Wine & Chocolate tasting. Learn some tips on still life photography.

16h00: Travel to the town centre where you will soak up and photograph the beautiful tree-lined streets and Cape Dutch Buildings.

17h00: The professional photographer will depart.

Finish - Corner of Dorp and Drosty Street in the town centre.

Kirstenbosch and Tokai Forest (Fridays)

Start - Kirstenbosch Gardens Ticket Office off Rhodes Drive in Newlands.

10h00: Meet at the ticket office at Kirstenbosch Gardens.

12h30: After 2.5 hours of photography heaven, head to Moyo restaurant for a traditional lunch under the trees.

14h00: Depart for Tokai Forest where you will capture the enchantment of these mighty forests until 17:00.

17h00: The professional photographer will depart.

Finish - Tokai Forest picnic spot at the very top of Tokai Road, Tokai.

What to Bring

In order to achieve the most from the Accredited South African Professional Photographer, a camera body with a manual mode function is recommended. However, all makes of cameras are welcome. A tripod is essential. (You can rent a tripod on the day from thephotowalkers.com for a fee of R100.00. Payable in cash on the day and arranged before).

What to Wear

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as well as weather related clothing.

Fitness

A certain level of fitness is required to enable you to transport your own camera bag, tripod and accessories. Although this photowalk is 7-hours, only reasonably short to medium distances are covered.

Photography Experience
