Witness the majestic Southern Right whales arriving at the Cape each season to breed and calve in Gordon's Bay, Pringle Bay, Betty's Bay & Hermanus, the most best place to watch whales.
Whale Season runs between June - November
On the Whale Watching tour tourists and local holiday-makers will also visit the Fernkloof Nature Reserve, home to a large number of birds and small mammals, and Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. On weekdays and Saturdays, a trip to Hamilton Russel Wine Estate offers a glimps into Hermanus' viticulture.
We drive along Sir Lowry's pass, with an amazing view, through coastal towns that make up the Whale Route. Upon reaching Hermanus, we embark at a vantage point for the best view of the Whales.
During Whale season the official 'whale crier' of Hermanus stands on duty to signal visitors when the whales are nearby.
