Lynda & Gary Kimber – Tanzania

Hi Gert
We had a wonderful trip. We saw the migration and river crossings on our first morning in the Mara! It was amazing. The game viewing and birding was excellent. I was impressed with Tanzanian Experience. The trip was very well organized and our safari guide, Goodlove, was excellent. Accommodation was very good and we especially enjoyed Kati Kati (Serengeti) and the Mara Ashnil (Kenya).
The only thing that I might have done differently was to exclude the trip to Lake Victoria although it was really an eye opener. The road from Masai Mara to the Tanzanian border is very bad and the traveling is extremely slow. It took a full day to travel about 300km. There are no places to stop along the way to use toilets or to eat and very little to see except densely populated rural villages. The accommodation and food at Speke Bay Lodge on Lake Victoria was also not up to standard and I would not recommend it. Having said that however, we had excellent bird sightings at Lake Victoria.
Thanks for organizing us a fantastic and memorable trip.
Regards
