Day 1 - Kalahari Desert
We depart Windhoek and travel into the largest sand mass on Earth, the Kalahari Desert, referred to as the “Soul of the World” by the Bushman! With deep red sand dunes & endless grass plains dotted with acacia’s and shrubs, it is the only form of survival for the specially adapted wildlife that call it home. We have an opportunity to experience the red dunes with its unique fauna and flora that has survived this desert environment.

Note: On the Superior version a nature drive is also included.

Day 2 - Fish River Canyon
As we travel south through the rocky plains, we visit the unique quiver tree forest, nestled among huge dolerite boulders, stacked in a mysterious way, known as “Giant’s Playground”. We end out day at our lodge, situated close to the Fish River Canyon, with the option to explore the area on foot or on a guided afternoon nature drive.

Day 3 to 4 - Lüderitz
After a fresh start, we travel to the edge of the Fish River Canyon and gaze 550 meters into this magnificent geological phenomenon, second largest of its kind on Earth. After taking in some amazing views we continue to travel past the Naute dam where we will have a short visit at the Kristall Cellar and Distillery. Here an opportunity is given to taste on some unique liquors or simply indulge in a delicious cup of coffee. Enroute to the coastal town of Lüderitz we have one more stop at Garub to view the wild horses of the Namib Desert.

The following morning starts with a visit to Kolmanskop, a deserted ghost town, which was once an opulent and decadent town. Offering visitors unique photo motives and captivating of what was once a thriving diamond mining town, we carry on with our next visit at Diaz Point with its padrao on a cliff that overlooks the harsh waters of the Atlantic Ocean. After spending some time here we head back to Lüderitz and explore this small historic town.

Day 5 - Namib Desert
After an early breakfast, we travel north to the Namib Desert and making our way to the lodge where we will be spending the next two nights in the desert. The Namib Desert is the gateway to Sesriem Canyon, Deadvlei and Sossusvlei, with some of the highest sand dunes on Earth towering over the white desert plains. Sossusvlei. The afternoon is spent at leisure where you can chill by the sparkling pool or participate in the optional activities offered at the lodge.

Day 6 - Namib Desert
Starting the day bright and early we enter the Namib Naukluft National Park with sunrise. Capture this awe-inspiring landscape as the first rays of sunlight paint the mountain and desert sands with an array of orange and reds, contrasting against the crisp blue skies. Take the opportunity to walk up one of these dunes to admire the desert landscape for unforgettable views. Thereafter we will also visit the Sesriem Canyon, a natural phenomenon in the heart of the Namib Desert.

Day 7 - Swakopmund
After breakfast we travel through the desolate, rolling hills of Kuiseb Moon Valley towards the Atlantic Ocean. We visit a shallow lagoon in Walvis Bay, one of the most important wetland heritage sites on in Africa feeding over 80% of the African flamingos. It present a breathtaking picture when they appear in groups of a few hundred thousand. Arriving in Swakopmund, the rest of the day is spent at leisure.

Day 8 - Swakopmund
Perfect for walking tours, shopping, relaxing at one of the coffee shops or a stroll along the sandy beach. It offers a wide variety of activities from dolphin cruises, desert tours and scenic flights to quad biking, paragliding, parachuting and kite surfing.

Day 9 - Damaraland
Today we travel via the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain into the Damaraland, one of the least populated and geologically diverse areas in Africa. This harsh, rocky environment is home to the rare desert elephants, black rhinos and many antelope species. Accompanied by a local Damara guide we visit Twyfelfontein, a heritage site where Bushman communities painted over 2500 pictures some 6000 years ago! After a visit to the nearby Living Museum of the Damara we proceed to the Petrified Forest and also get to see the Welwitschia mirabilis plant – the oldest living desert plant on Earth!

Day 10 - Etosha National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, we travel towards the Etosha National Park, famous for its vast amount of wildlife. Upon arrival at our camp located just outside the National Park, we head onto our first safari game drive. Here we get to visit the various waterholes close to Okaukuejo and the Anderson gate. Optional game drives can also be booked with the lodge.

Day 11 - Etosha National Park
We devote the day purely to the abundant wildlife found in the Etosha National Park, which surrounds a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan. The park is home to 4 of the Big Five - elephant, lion, leopard and rhino. The waterholes are supporting a rich diversity of birds and mammals, including rare species such as black-faced impala, roan, cheetah, and Namibia’s smallest antelope, the Damara dik-dik.

Day 12 - Etosha National Park
Today we again game drive in the Etosha National Park. We may encounter animal species we have not seen the previous day and look forward to any new surprises at the different waterholes visited. In the afternoon we travel to our lodge, where we enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 13 - Return to Windhoek
After breakfast we continue southwards to Windhoek, where we visit the craft markets in the main street of the capital city, where after we are dropped off at our hotel or at the international airport for our return flight
