The Tremisana Kruger Lodge Safari suits any budget and aims to offer the full wildlife safari experience at a fraction of the cost. Let us take you into the wild of South Africa!
Our Tremisana Kruger Lodge Safari includes pick-up and returns from your accommodation in central Johannesburg (or OR Tambo International Airport). Your safari expedition into Kruger National Park is enjoyed in our fully equipped 4x4 safari vehicles to give guests the best possible view and flexibility while traversing the African jungle.
Experience the best of both worlds with safaris in a private reserve as well as the Kruger National Park. Private reserves allow vehicles to drive much later into the evening to see nocturnal animals and nighttime activity, while Kruger National Park offers a large network of communication between guides, assisting the safari guide to find the rare encounters like leopards, wild dogs, and lions.
On the way back from Kruger you will stop at the Blyde River Canyon for a postcard picture of this amazing country! The Blyde River Canyon is a spectacular viewpoint on the Panorama Route, South Africa's own version of the Grand Canyon!
We recommend at least 3 days in the Kruger (including one full day) to make your trip to Kruger National Park worthwhile. The drive from Johannesburg is 5-6 hours on paved roads.

Best time to visit Kruger Park
Kruger is great year-round, though many would say that the winter season is best (May to October), because the vegetation is thinner during the period, which means you have a better chance of spotting small and elusive animals like leopards.
What to Wear
Light, cotton clothing in light tones. These work best in a hot climate. Avoid white shirts as they show dirt easily and are more visible to animals.
Ladies - If you are staying at a private lodge, you can pack one smart set of clothing, but informal for the most part. We recommend packing a support bra for game drives as they sometimes get a little rough.
It is a good idea to pack a few long-sleeved shirts and a pair of long trousers as evenings can get a bit chilly and they keep mosquito at bay.
Winter can get chilly in the morning, especially on morning game drives. Take a lightweight waterproof jacket. Shorts and t-shirt will be most comfortable around midday. The secret is to wear several layers that you can take off as it gets hotter.
Take a good pair of hiking shoes or trainers. Heavy-duty hiking boots are not needed unless you are going on a walking safari. A pair of sandals might be good for walking around the pool and lodge.
The African Sun can be quite harsh on the skin on a very hot day. You should try and take a wide brim hat to shade your eyes and the back of your neck.
