Nxai Pan Camp is the only permanent camp situated within the Nxai Pan National Park. The camp was opened in 2009 and is proving a popular desert destination along with Tau Pan Camp.
There are nine rooms which are linked to the main area by means of a slightly raised walkway, at night these are lit with lanterns to show you the way. The rooms are built from a light, specially selected material which keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer, a fan also helps circulate the breeze in those hotter months.
The rooms are light and spacious. The main area of each room features double or twin beds, a seating area, and a small writing desk. The bathroom area has shelving and hanging space, a double sink and inside and outside showers, there is a separate flush toilet.
Décor is simple but homely. Each room has a low wooden veranda offering perfect views of the permanent waterhole where elephants are often a feature, along with the jackals and guinea fowl who always come to drink – the perfect spot to relax during the day. One of the rooms, close to the main area, is a family room. This is laid out exactly the same as the other units but with an extra separate bedroom containing twin beds.

The Nxai Pan Camp is the only permanent camp inside of the Nxai Pan National Park, the ideal base from which to witness the Zebra Migration and to visit the Baine's Baobabs, while also offering the opportunity to engage with the time-honoured Bushman traditions.
The Nxai Pan camp maintains its own airstrip, which is roughly a 15-minute drive away and serves light aircraft traveling from Maun (40 min flight) and Kasane (1 hr flight). The camp is also reachable by 4WD vehicle, a 3-hour drive from Maun.

All accommodations include the following:
- Private viewing deck with outside seating and waterhole views
- Spacious lounge areas with armchairs, tea and coffee facility, charging station (international plugs) and writing desk
- Open hanging space and shelving for clothes, digital safe, spare blankets, insect repellents and an emergency horn
- En-suite, indoor and outdoor shower, flushing toilet, double vanity basins, gowns, hot and cold-water supply.
- All rooms can be configured as a double (super-king, extra-length bed) or twin (two 3/4 beds, extra length beds)

Family Friendly
- The Family Suite comprises of a standard en-suite unit (with outdoor shower) connected to a smaller room sharing one bathroom with a separate toilet.
- Minimum age is 6 years (except 1 April – 15 November when there is no min. age) and families travelling with children aged 6-11yrs must book private activities.
- Extra bed available allowing for three children in the family suite.
- Special activity program for children and early mealtimes on request
